Thankyou for viewing web site
I Speak little German but do know some, I study it at school. Ich spreche wenig deutsch.
I also speak enough Italian to make a contact. Ciao mi amico
My name is Jamie, One of the younger operators in the area. My foundation licence is M6GDI and you may have spoke to me before. I passed my intermediate exam on the 23rd March and got my licence 31st March.
I live in a villiage called Hammerwich, that is 3 miles west of lichfield and 15 miles north of Birmingham.
I am a member of the wythall radio club in south birmingham. (This is where I sat my foundation). Also the Sutton coldfield amateur radio society. (Where I sat my intermediate). Along side that I am also a member of the central radio amateur circle. all of which are in the midlands.
I very first became licenced 12/03/14 with the callsign M6GDI and I have progressed on from then. I am now sitting a distance learning course for the advanced, wish me luck!
My station consists of:
A kenwood TS-50-s HF all band tranciever with a heil pro head set and homebrew foot PTT.
MFJ deluxe versa tuner with 2 antennas:
Antenna 1: Home brew dublet that is about 40m long.
Antenna 2: I now also have a TGM MQ1 mini beam on a rotator.
A Yaesu FT-7800 2m/70cm transciever. A dual band colinear is plugged directly into the back of this radio.
A Baofeng GT-3 mark II
My dad and brother are also licenced radio operators but are rarely on the air. My dad is 2E0 CAP (occasionaly active) and my brother 2E0 XIH (rarely active).
I do enjoy homebrewing antennas so don't be put off if signals aren't too good. Any project sugestions are greatfully recieved @jya231 (Twitter) or 2e0sdv@gmail.com. My first big project will be a 28mhz yagi
Operating success:
Most of my success has been conducted using my preveous callsign (M6GDI).
